Bert has been CEO of AIM-listed Cora Gold since 2020. Cora has a 1Moz gold Project in Mali, West Africa that is moving towards development following a positive DFS. With over 15 years’ experience in the African mining and natural resources sector, Bert has held senior leadership roles spanning exploration, project development, and corporate strategy. Prior to joining Cora Gold, Bert spent over 10 years at Hummingbird Resources, holding several roles including Operations Manager and Country Manager & Head of Business Development as the company transitioned from a private pre-resource explorer through to an AIM-listed gold miner with over 6 Moz of gold resources in West Africa. His expertise lies in gold exploration, stakeholder engagement, and mine development strategy, and he has extensive on-the-ground experience.
